Simply hitting Win-P a few times, to change the multi-monitor mode out of 'duplicate' for a moment, and then back, seems to fix the issue! That's a lot quicker than logging out and back in, reconnecting to the VPN, and relaunching Creo.

Updating that didn't fix the problem though.īut. I had 3 display adapters listed in Device Manager 2 were up to date, one wasn't. Okay, definitely graphics card or driver issue. Then I had a bluescreen crash (Stop code: ATTEMPTED SWITCH FROM DPC), visible on the laptop's display only, the duplicated monitor still showed what I had been working on. Starting to suspect it was a graphics card or driver issue. That's useful if you have to click on something in a dialog box you can't see, but still had to log out and log back in to fix. I wondered if I took a screen grab, would I see the issue, or what I'm actually supposed to see? Turns out, as soon as hit the 'PrintScreen' button, the screen repaints and I could see everything. Pop up dialogs and some pull down menus would just be shadows, in some applications only. Text input in some programs would stop working right (Creo, Notepad), but still work fine in others (MS Word).

It started happening to me a few times a day this week.

UPDATE: Fixed! Or, at least much quicker workaround to resolve the problem when it crops up.

Creo 5.0
